Reporting to the Partner the Client Relationship Managers' primary objective is to make a proactive and positive contribution towards achieving the team's annual business plan by carefully maintaining and developing client-business relationships whilst providing a consistently high-quality service to all clients.

Specific duties include
  • Display commercial awareness, identifying opportunities for additional fees from or services from clients and taking advantage of networking opportunities that could engage new clients
  • To be effective in all aspects of accountancy work, plan, prepare and review financial accounts
  • Proficient in computer-based accounts preparation software, relevant software used by clients
  • Deliver consistent high-quality proactive client services, ensuring that a positive day to day client relationship is maintained
  • Ensure client satisfaction at all times, resolving outstanding issues in a timely manner
Business Development
  • Delivering the firms Care Programme to your portfolio of 50-100 clients, adding real value to their business and private lives
  • Ensuring the value we add is at least 3 times the fees we charge
  • Deliver the firms promises, 1,keep tax liabilities to a minimum, 2, Help improve profitability, 3,Invest wealth wisely and protest the client, their family and their business
  • Actively support all sales, promotional, marketing and networking activities of the organisation either to current clients or targets
The Successful candidate will possess
  • At least 5 years relevant experience dealing with owner managed businesses in a client-facing capacity
  • Excellent working IT knowledge (word/excel, etc), use of Sage Instant/Line 50, use of other practice software

  • Excellent prioritisation and time management skills, the ability to multi-task and work in an organised manner to strict deadlines
  • Commercially astute and a dynamic strategic thinker, first rate analytical skills with the ability to present findings to teams and clients 
  • Positive and outgoing, self-confident, self-sufficient, pro-active and willing to take responsibility

  • Demonstrates personal effectiveness and seeks out development opportunities when appropriate
Salary & Benefits
  • £30,000 to £35,000pa plus performance related bonus (17%)
  • paid overtime
